Help!

Left Coast Live is rapidly approaching and we are in major need to volunteers to make it happen! Left Coast Live is a week-long music experience showcasing the talent of 100 local, regional and national bands in 40 Downtown San Jose venues including cafes, museums, bars and restaurants. The event starts with a future of music discussion series, two preview concerts, and one outdoor cinema, and culminates in a giant walkable live music festival in downtown San Jose.

What are the different components Left Coast Live?

“Sound of Things to Come Discussion Series”
Held Monday thru Thursday evenings from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. in various venues throughout downtown San Jose

“Main event Concerts” – Friday and Saturday night

“Preview Concerts” – held throughout week

“Film discussion”  – Tuesday night

How can I help?

We need folks to help in several areas:

Ongoing: Outreach team at clubs/bars and other performance spaces, PR, bloggers, help with reaching bands, help with finding guest speakers, staff booths at events and distribute flyers and posters.

Day of:

*  Taking tickets at the gate or door at concert venus or at each of the speaker’s session workshops.
*  Helping with individual concerts – set up/clean up/runners during show
*  Volunteer check ins/VIP check in
*  Photographers
*  Bloggers
*  Staff info booth and sell tickets at SJ Downtown Farmer’s Market

What do I get for volunteering?
A free pass to enjoy the festival, a Left Coast Live t-shirt and the satisfaction that you played a huge role in helping to ignite the downtown San Jose Music scene

We are happy to offer internship credit if your school offers it.  Working with LCL is a great way to learn about PR, the music industry and the inside of producing a major event.
