Anya & The Get Down formed in June 2011 and has been rocking shows in the Bay Area ever since. You won’t be able to look away when this soulful Russian songstress takes the stage. Anya gets down on the vocals. Azim gets down on the bass. Matt gets down on guitar. Randy gets down on drums. They get down. And we’re pretty sure you will too once you hear their hip hop influenced R&B sound!

Guitarist, composer, music teacher, sideman, and Mark Arroyo does it all, bringing his unique guitar style to stages across the country. From nightclubs and restaurants in California, to arenas in Connecticut, and even the San Jose Jazz Festival, Arroyo mixes his love of jazz, funk, rock, hip-hop, and electronica to create a sound that’s both foreign and familiar.
The Mark Arroyo Trio highlights Arroyo’s own compositions alongside re-worked modern rock classics, all while bridging the gap between audiences of modern jazz and the indie underground. Joining him in the trio are Fred Paclibon on bass and Sutton Marley on drums.

Emerging jazz vocalist Amy Dabalos is a gifted artist noted for her exceptional interpretation of song. For the past several years Amy has performed regularly in Southern California with her own jazz combo and is a recent guest at the Manhattan Supper Club. Her style and approach to jazz singing is greatly influenced by jazz legends Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughn, and Nancy Wilson, as well as exceptional modern jazz artists Gretchen Parlato and Esperanza Spalding. Recently back in her home-town of San Jose, Amy recorded her first EP, Some Other Time, which showcases both a sensitivity and dynamism that are trademark of her voice. Equally comfortable on the operatic stage, Amy will be appearing this season with Opera San Jose. Amy will be performing at The Temple Bar featuring Rick Vandivier on guitar.

The Resurrection Men have been around for the past three years, performing across Northern California, putting on consistently fun, dynamic, and unusually sweaty shows. This spring, the band was selected for the Live 105 local band contest to open BFD and they made it into the Top 5, only to be beat out by fellow LCL performers The Trims. Their sound can best be described as rock infused pop, with strong punk sensibilities. There’s some great personalities in this band as well, just check out their website bio and you’ll see that they “would be happiest to be considered this generation’s Muppets.” You gotta love that attitude and humor!
