
During the 70s, people saw Bay Area native, Darondo, as the next Al Green. But he saw otherwise. Darondo made funk/soul music mainly as a hobby. After a few singles and a handful of shows, including an opening for legendary James Brown, he disappeared from the industry and did not emerge until recently.
