Reuniting the Elements of Hip-Hop: The Bring It Back Stage

“’Bring It Back’ is a passion-driven collaborative tour that utilizes local business and community resources to engage artistic expression. We are designed to pull together prime circles of artisans, musicians, educators, and activists for the cause of inspiring our youth and peers with a multitude of positive creative outlets.”

The ‘Bring It Back’ tour is something new and different. It’s taking hip-hop fans and enthusiasts back to a time when the original pioneers were just breaking ground. Left Coast Live is thrilled to present the Bring It Back stage at this year’s festival.

The Bring It Back stage takes you to the beginning of hip-hop with its ‘fourfather qualities’—break-dancing, graffiti, turntablism and emceeing—but in addition to the basics, you will find a new fusion of live reggae and rock & roll, visual arts, and charitable opportunities.

At the Bring It Back area, keep an ear out for local bands Powder Train, Kanetic Source, Whiskey Avengers, Pounders, Language Arts Crew and more. Check out Luck Loosh and Rey Resurreccion MC’ing for the night. Keep an eye out for break-dancers, Afro-Brazilian capoeira demonstrations and live drum circles.  Look for over 25 different artists painting live to build a circle of visual artistry from a variety of mediums. Stage headliners include 2 Mex, LMNO and KeyKool of the renowned independent hip-hop group, Visionaries.
